Grace Bay Beach

Grace Bay Beach is an award-winning, 3-mile stretch of sand on Providenciales. The TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards has named it the best beach in the world several years running, based on millions of traveler reviews.

It’s the combination of powdery, soft white sand, calm and warm water, and the brilliant turquoise hue of the ocean off its shoreline that make Grace Bay a world-class destination. The beach is easy to access, as it’s open to the public and home to many hotels on Providenciales. Those who aren’t staying on Grace Bay can access the beach via several public access points—the most popular access point is across from Ports of Call Plaza. While there are no lifeguards on duty, there is little current on Grace Bay Beach, and buoys mark the swimmable area.

Sunset Beach Villas offers private villa rentals within walking distance-600 feet, or a 5-minute stroll-of Leeward Beach, which continues east from the end of Grace Bay Beach. This stretch of beach is considered one of the top beaches in the Turks & Caicos, with the same pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters you’d find on Grace Bay. Our villas offer the advantage of proximity to the eastern, less-crowded area of the beach, as well as some of the best sunsets on Provo’s north shore.

Leeward, Providenciales

Leeward is a residential community on the northeastern tip of Providenciales and eastern end of Grace Bay. The 425-acre area is home to private residences, a handful of resorts, large marinas, and exclusive beach villas like the Sunset Beach Collection. Leeward is gated and manned by a security guard and enjoys greater privacy and security than other parts of Providenciales.

This north shore community boasts a stretch of thriving coral reef blanketed by brilliant aquamarine waters. Beyond the reef, a natural sea wall plummets 8,000 feet to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, creating a dramatic contrast of deep blue water against electric turquoise

Sunset Beach Villas is part of the Leeward Community. Our private villas for rent are less than two miles from Grace Bay’s tourist shops and restaurants and one mile from Blue Haven Marina—the meeting point for many charter operations, including scuba diving, fishing, wakeboarding, and other water sport companies. The marina is also the natural stepping stone to the other islands in the Turks & Caicos, such as Little Water Cay, Water Cay, Pine Cay, Dellis Cay, Parrot Cay, North Caicos, and Middle Caicos. You can also buy wine, fine foods, and other merchandise here at the Blue Haven Market, or dine at its on-site restaurant, Salt Bar and Grill.

Getting Around Providenciales

Providenciales is a small island—it takes roughly one hour to cross it by car. This makes getting around the island fairly simple. There are several rental car companies and private taxi services that provide transport to travelers, both of which our Sunset Beach Villas concierge is happy to help you organize. The closest grocery and pharmacy is a 5-minute drive from our exclusive villa rentals to Grace Bay’s tourist center. The supermarket Graceway Gourmet carries a wide variety of international foods, wines, and products, most of which Providenciales imports from the United States. Next door, you can find medications, sunscreen, and pharmaceutical products at the Flamingo Pharmacy. The area also boasts souvenir shops, ice cream parlors, clothing stores, art galleries, and even a puppy rescue center. To maximize your time on the beach, our luxury villa team is happy to stock your fridge and pantry ahead of your arrival. The fine dining scene in Providenciales is excellent—just down the road from our luxury island villas, you can sample delicious French and Italian fare, among others, at restaurants like Coco Bistro and Bella Luna. Our concierge is also happy to organize a private chef for your party or catered dinners for special events.
